The infusion of country, reggae, and rock sound uniquely southern. This Charleston, South Carolina trio will have you tapping your toes without even realizing it. With influences like Tom Waits, Radiohead and Neutral Milk Hotel, Dangermuffin uses a broad brush to tell their story, but it melts seamlessly into a solitary sound that is their own.

Dangermuffin Bio

Lead Singer/Guitarist Dan Lotti, originally from South Carolina moved back after a stint in New York City. "One day on the way to
work the weatherman said ... today ... temperatures will climb to 2 degrees.' I said ... that's it,'" said Lotti. "I met Mikey; we started playing out as a duo. Jim moved back down to the Low-country soon thereafter; thus began the debauchery and pillaging that currently goes down with the muffins."

Beermuda, the bands debut CD was recorded independently in Drummer Jim Donnelly's home studio, far from the peering eyes of meddling suits in a comfortable environment: "Having the studio set-up available at Jim's place was crucial," says Lotti. "I may have had the original ideas for some of these songs, but being able to get together without distraction in a studio room with everyone allowed us to put things together collectively."

Word is the CD pales in comparison to a live show and we at The Georgia Jukebox can't wait until we're able to get to South Carolina to see them in person. Until then we'll have to settle for Beermuda. Sounds like a place we'd like to go.
