Colt Ford Live @ The GA Theatre

I had a chance to get out to Athens friday night and saw Colt Ford at The Georgia Theatre.  For any of you who are not familiar with Athens, The Georgia Theatre is an icon in a city full of great music and musical history.  Young artists cite their first show at The Georgia Theatre as one of the great moments in a young career.

The Hometown Boy came home friday night to a rukus of a Crowd.  Colts entrance was fortold by the video for "Not Trash In My Trailer", and the crowd was ready for the country-fied hick-hop stylin of this poet.  I've never been to a rap concert with a full band, but then again, Colt Ford is not your average rapper.

The most telling moment of the night came when Colt called his wife on stage and talked about how she'd raised his 2 babies and how much he appreciated.  You can tell from that kind of thing that Colt Ford is good people.

I'd like to thank Colt's Managment, Average Joe's Entertainment for the free passes..  The V.I.P. passes were cool, though I sure wish the contest winners had shown up to claim their passes.  You missed a great show, you know who you are.

If you have a chance to see Colt live, you should take it.  Like I've said before, this is real country music, even if it is rap.

Some Photos from Colt Ford Live @ The Georgia Theatre - I know, I need a new camera.
