So they won't put Corey Smith on Country Music Radio or CMT, but you'd better believe that the Jefferson Georgia native's revival of Rehab's ditty had a little something to do with the sudden popularity of a song that's several years old. Its a great song. and an appearance by Hank Williams Jr in the video will help soften the country landing for this hip-hop oriented (kinda?) group.

Whether you call it The Bartender Song, or Sitting at the bar, when you hear that intro, you know whats coming. This is a unique song that really is hard to categorize. I actually want to give CMT its due for playing them.. Of course, I think it would fit better on VH1, but what do I know
Rehab is awesome, and I'm glad they're finally going to get their due.
Rehab Bartender Song Country Crossover?
I remember Warner Robbins' own Rehab's first song "Mrs. Jones", and there's no way in heck that song would get played on CMT. I still love that song, but "Bartender Song" will be Rehab's real 1st big hit. We'll see if there will be more.

Rehab Bio - Per Wikipedia
Rehab's music is a mixture of southern rock, dirty south rap, reggae, alternative and the popular 90s rap/rock style (made famous by bands such as Limp Bizkit). Three pressed albums have been released: "To Whom It May Consume" (1999), "Southern Discomfort" (2000) and "Graffiti the World" (2005). Previously obtainable only online, "Cuz We Can" (2002) became available on CD in the early months of 2007. Following the release, Rehab had this to say, "Although this may not have been officially what the label intended to put out, it’s the best work we could find and put together as a comprehensive volume to give to the fans."
Rehab was originally formed as a trio: Steaknife,Danny Alexander, and Brooks Buford. Early on, they released their first album "To Whom It May Consume" produced by Steaknife and Brooks Buford. Soon after, Epic/Sony offered a record deal.
Rehab's major label debut, Southern Discomfort, hit stores in October of 2000. With band members Danny Alexander and Brooks, hailing from the city of Warner Robins, south of Macon, Georgia (they dedicated a song to their hometown called "This Town"). Their debut album starts with a skit of them breaking out of a rehabilitation facility. The album went on to sell over 140,000 units, and produced such hits as "Sittin' At A Bar", "It Don't Matter" (Modern Rock Top 20), "Rattle My Cage", and featured such guests as Cee-Lo, Goodie Mob, Steaknife, and Cody Chestnutt.
After 2 years on the road supporting the Vans Warped Tour and playing with bands such as Linkin Park, Danny called it quits over a difference in creative view points.
Part of Danny Boone's appeal to his greatest fans is his love for his home town and regular reminders of it on both his apparel, fore arm tattoos and mentions during many different lyrics of the groups music.
"That's where I grew up and I've lived there most of my life," Boone says. "I always wanted to represent Warner Robins, but I didn't know how because nobody really cared."
When asked about how the group came up with the name "Rehab," Danny is quoted as saying, "You know, we all went through some really bad times in our lives as a group and individually. Some of us didn't make some really wise decisions and got into some pretty bad stuff. We had to go into rehab to get straightened back out. And I got to thinking, since I'm sure we're not the only ones in this situation, and just so people who have been through what we have can relate to it, that's the name we picked: Rehab. Not that we advocate or encourage anyone using anything, but for those who do, you know, maybe we can be a positive influence somehow. 'Cause we've been there."
Bartender Song Lyrics
Bartender I really did it this time
Broke my parole to have a good time
When I got home it was 6 AM
The door was locked so I kicked it in
She was trippin on the bills
I think she was high on some pills
She threw my shit out into the yard
Then she called me a bum and slapped me real hard
And in my drunken stuper
I did what I should have of done
Now Im sittin here talking to you
Drunk and on the run
Im sittin at a bar on the inside
Waitin for my ride on the outside
She broke my heart, in the trailer park
So I jacked the keys to her fuckin car
Crashed that piece of shit n-then stepped away
You know Mo Ill probably get ten years
So just get me beers till they get here
Yea I know the sun is comin up
And yall are probably get ready to closein up
But im trying to dry my sole
I m tired of this life on the dirt road
Everything that I love is gone
And Im tired of hangin on
Im sittin at a bar on the inside
Waitin for my ride on the outside
She stole my heart, in the trailer park
So I jacked the keys to her fuckin car
And crashed that piece of shit n-then stepped away
RAP MONOLOG
Yes it was meant to be
Romance is misery
So much for memories
And now I am headed to the penitentiary
See me on TV
The next cop series
I am a danger
I guess I should have did something about my angry
But I never learn
Real things I dont concern
I pour kerosene on everything I love
And watch it burn
I know its my fault
But I wasnt happy it was over
She threw a fit
So I crashed that piece of shit over
---RETURN
And now I am going back again
Back to the pin to see my friends
When we all phial of that county van
Dont ask me where I been
I been at bar on the inside
Waitin for my ride on the outside
She broke my heart, in the trailer park
So I jacked the keys to her fuckin car
I Crashed that piece of shit n-then stepped away
