Zac Brown At The Fox
Zac Brown Band DistributionNo Longer Welcomes Affiliates - Help Us Continue To Offer Our Services
-We love to promote independent music, and artists like the Zac Brown Band are the reason we started this project, but the new distributor for the Zac Brown Band's music does not offer an affiliate program, and his music is no longer available on iTunes, Amazon, or CDbaby. The New Distributors have limited Zac Brown Band fan's options of where they can purchase The Foundation, or other Zac Brown Band music, which breaks the independent spirit of Zac Brown Band's music, and the independent music computer scene.
Help Us by sending an email here - Be nice, ask them to start an affiliate program so websites like The Georgia Jukebox can bring you the best new independent music. Thanks! -
The Zac Brown Band recently opened for another Georgia artist Sugarland at the Fox in Atlanta. Here's the best video we could find on youtube.

Sam Thacker - Sky’s The Limit
Click the Play button to hear track
The Georgia Jukebox recently saw Sam Thacker promoting his album Above the Underneath, at Capital City Bar in Milledgeville Georgia. The Houston Texas native has shared the stage with, Collective Soul, Sister Hazel, Tonic, Gavin DeGraw, and Marc Broussard (this show was with Corey Smith, another Jukebox favorite), and despite the unusually sparse crowd, Thacker gave the audience a professional show that demonstrated why there’s a good chance you’ll hear him on your radio soon.
Sam Thacker’s Above The Underneath – A Triumph
From the album’s first track “Serenade”, an introspective power-pop number that will have you singing along (and it got airplay on a handful of stations), to the Jazz-infused “Oh Well” and the encouraging “Guide You Well”, Above The Underneath is a triumph for Thacker, and a good indication of what’s to come
Song Of The Week Promotion
“I’m having a good time with “Song of the Week”, said Thacker. “Basically I’ve committed to writing and recording at least one new song a week. Every Monday I’m posting one of the new tunes up on my MySpace page and folks can download it for free. If they choose, there is a “donate” button where they can make a contribution to the cause but this is neither necessary nor expected. Each song stays up for one week and is replaced by a new one the next Monday. Once a song has been posted it will not be posted again. The goal with this is for fans to reach out to one another if they miss a song they want. I really want to encourage sharing, burning, etc among folks who want to listen to and spread my music. “
We think this is a great idea, and hope you donate when you download. These songs could be a collector’s item one day, and they’re just good songs.
New Sam Thacker Album Out Soon
The so-far untitled CD should be finished this month. Sam’s excited: “The songs are the best I’ve ever written and I feel like we’re capturing some really special performances in the studio as well”
We can’t wait

A former High-School Teacher coined a song that has become a graduation anthem heard all over the United States.
Corey Smith, a singer and songwriter, originally from Jefferson Georgia has defied the odds of independent artists, and garners new fans by the thousands every day. Corey Smith has been offered Recording Contracts, but because this artist is a product of the real world, he's chosen freedom. Freedom from pre-packaged, visually oriented corporations that have known to change a person or two.
I'm Not Gonna Cry: From Graduation to Cult Classic
The song, originally written for a local high school graduation, soon spread via myspace, mp3 swaps and word of mouth, and is now being used by High Schools all over the country for their graduation ceremonies.
I'm Not Gonna Cry Lyrics
Sunday Shoes, Cap and Gown The whole town gathered around Waited 18 years now it’s all comin down to this. I scanned the crowd and it fills my soul My best friends all here in rows No turning back, Now its time to walk that line This tassel is gonna turn But when the moment passes by We’ll just walk away Then slowly grow apart But I’m not gonna cry, no Not one sad or happy tear I’ve waited my whole life Now I’m gonna fly right outta here It’s a bittersweet goodbye, but I’m not gonna cry Friday night, football games, First loves and first heartbreaks, It didnt matter who won or lost, Only how we played, Memories as good as gold, Tearin' up those mountain roads, racin' out 53, to old georgetown, sure we made a little trouble, but learned from every mistake, so theres no regret, we've done the best we could so im not gonna cry, no not one sad or happy tear ive waited my whole life now im gonna fly right outta here these have been the best years of my life so im not gonna cry its been a lonely, winding journey and we've lost a few along the way still we've hung in there through the tribulations now its time to celebrate its our graduation day so im not gonna cry not one sad or happy tear ive waited my whole life so im gonna fly right outta here this has been the best day of my life, so im not gonna cry its a bittersweet goodbye, im not gonna cry
