We scour the internet for Georgia's Best music. We get a lot of good music submitted that never gets played.

But when we heard Viciou$ we knew we needed to get this out to the masses.

This Atlanta Georgia rapper is set to release The Chronicles on July 15th, and you'll be able to buy it here at the Jukebox (via CD Baby), or at his myspace page, so check back, because we think you're going to want this.

Viciou$ Bio

Biography Viciou$ is an Atlanta based hip hop artist with a track record that dates back to the mid 90's. He was in a group with his two cousins and friend called A.T.F.C. Viciou$ started freestyling at the tender age of 8. When he was 11 years old Viciou$ started writing his own songs. By the time he was 14 years old he was doing shows and recording songs. Viciou$ brings romance, energy, excitement, storytelling, and true to life lyrics. He truly defines versatility from a hip hop perspective. In 1998, Viciou$ decided to step away from hip hop due to a very hostile separation with the group. About 2 years later Viciou$ met Tyrone Davis (Founder/CEO of N.O.H. records). Tyrone had a huge impact on Viciou$'s decision to start rapping again. Not long afterwards Tyrone was murdered.

God puts people in your life for a reason and Viciou$ feels that Tyrone being put in his life was God's way of letting him know what he's supposed to be doing with his life. Viciou$'s mission is to challenge the industry by continuing to put out quality music. He says, "Quality is what being an artist is all about."

Sam Thacker - Sky’s The Limit

Sam ThackerThe Georgia Jukebox recently saw Sam Thacker promoting his album Above the Underneath, at Capital City Bar in Milledgeville Georgia. The Houston Texas native has shared the stage with, Collective Soul, Sister Hazel, Tonic, Gavin DeGraw, and Marc Broussard (this show was with Corey Smith, another Jukebox favorite), and despite the unusually sparse crowd, Thacker gave the audience a professional show that demonstrated why there’s a good chance you’ll hear him on your radio soon.

Sam Thacker’s Above The Underneath – A TriumphSam Thacker's Above The Underneath

From the album’s first track “Serenade”, an introspective power-pop number that will have you singing along (and it got airplay on a handful of stations), to the Jazz-infused “Oh Well” and the encouraging “Guide You Well”, Above The Underneath is a triumph for Thacker, and a good indication of what’s to come

Song Of The Week Promotion

I’m having a good time with “Song of the Week”, said Thacker. “Basically I’ve committed to writing and recording at least one new song a week. Every Monday I’m posting one of the new tunes up on my MySpace page and folks can download it for free. If they choose, there is a “donate” button where they can make a contribution to the cause but this is neither necessary nor expected. Each song stays up for one week and is replaced by a new one the next Monday. Once a song has been posted it will not be posted again. The goal with this is for fans to reach out to one another if they miss a song they want. I really want to encourage sharing, burning, etc among folks who want to listen to and spread my music. “

We think this is a great idea, and hope you donate when you download. These songs could be a collector’s item one day, and they’re just good songs.

New Sam Thacker Album Out Soon

The so-far untitled CD should be finished this month. Sam’s excited: “The songs are the best I’ve ever written and I feel like we’re capturing some really special performances in the studio as well”

We can’t wait
